ST KILDA SEA BATHS SWIM SCHOOL

Our Swim School operates from our 25M sea water pool overlooking the St Kilda beach. All of our programs provide students with the opportunity to develop a lifelong connection to swimming . We have a strong focus on water safety and survival skills as well as swimming technique. Our water is derived directly from the sea, then filtered and heated to a soothing temperature for lessons. We use minimal chlorine making it suitable to those with sensitive skin. Our swimming programs run in line with the Victorian public school terms. Swimming lessons are run by qualified and caring instructors with all classes running for 30 minutes.

WATER BABIES PROGRAM LEVEL GUIDE

Get your little superstars comfortable and confident in the water with our infants Water Babies Program. Starting from 6 months of age Parents/ Guardians join the baby/toddler in the water for a 30min group class with one of our specially qualified infants swim instructor. Our Water Babies program is a great way to start your child’s aquatics learning and introduce them to water safety and familiarization through fun games and activities. The swim curriculum has been specifically designed around children’s growth and development, and classes are kept to a maximum of 10 per class.

In order to prepare your child for our “Learn to Swim and water safety” program, we now have a transition level to ensure they’re ready to start lessons independently without any parents in the lesson.

3 YEARS AND UP: LEARN TO SWIM LEVEL GUIDE

Our Learn to Swim and Water Safety program is designed for children from ages 3 years and up. The 30-minute small group lessons are taught by our AUSTSWIM qualified instructors who pride themselves on creating a fun and comfortable learning environment. Our program focuses on building you child’s confidence in the water and establishing a lifelong relationship with swimming and learning essential lifesaving water safety skills. All of our levels have been names after local sea life in our very own Port Phillip Bay.

ADULT SWIM PROGRAM

Our Adult Swim Program caters for all levels of ability, from absolute beginners to those wanting to fix their technique and or train for an open water swim race! Our instructors work individually with each adult student and help build up different elements of your swimming to increase strength, cardio vascular fitness and most importantly improve technique. We have three different levels in our Adult Swim Program: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced

ADULT BEGINNER

Ideal for people with little or no experience in the water who want to improve their confidence levels. These classes will provide an understanding of the basic skills required for water awareness, aquatic safety and swimming skills. Max of 4 per class

ADULT INTERMEDIATE

ADULT INTERMEDIATE

Designed for people with basic swimming and water safety proficiency who want to extend these skills. The classes provide tuition in stroke development, timing and breathing and include water safety skills such as treading water and further developing survival strokes. Max of 5 per class

ADULT ADVANCED

ADULT ADVANCED

For the more experienced swimmer looking for specific stroke correction to improve technique and endurance. We can also assist with specific training programs for Triathlons and Ocean Swimming. Max of 5 per class

SWIM SCHOOL INTENSE HOLIDAY PROGRAM

NEXT PROGRAM: SUMMER 2021

18th – 22nd JANUARY

Our intense program is a fantastic way for students to accelerate their swimming skills and also further develop their water safety skills. The classes run for 30 mins each day for the whole week, so you would attend each day at the same time for the full week. We see many students process quickly over the intensives as they build on their skills each day.

There is the option to do small group classes or private 1:1 sessions. Our Intense programs are very popular and book up quickly. Does this interest you?

Once submitted online our Swim School Manager will then confirm your enrolment with you via phone call/email.

Please note new enrolments are accepted from the last week of the current swim school term for the next swim school term.

SWIM SCHOOL MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATIONS

All swim school cancellation requests will be processed at the end of Term and need to be in writing emailed through to [email protected]

SWIM SCHOOL MEMBERSHIP SUSPENSIONS

Suspension requests for our direct debit swim school memberships are available between the end of Term 4 and the start of Term 1

PAYMENT OPTIONS

There are two main payment options for lessons at the South Pacific Health Club Sea Baths. These options are for our 30 Minute Group classes (All levels).

Direct Debit:

  • $30 debited fortnightly ($15 per week) ongoing from a nominated bank account, debit or credit card.
  • Added bonus of unlimited access to the Sea Baths facilities any time/day outside your lesson time for all Aqua Babe and Learn to Swim Students under the age of 14 years age.
  • Automatically re-enrol at the end of each term.

Upfront

  • $17.50 per class
  • Paid as a lump sum for the full term.
  • Access on lesson day only.
  • Please note you will need to re-enrol at the end of each term to secure your booking for the new term.

Private 1:1 or 2:1 Lessons

Available upon request and are charged at a rate of $50 per 30 min. class

1 HOUR SQUID OR SHARK SESSIONS

We run three 60 min sessions per week.
The cost per class is $22.50 per student.
Payments can be taken upfront or on Direct Debit.

PRIVATE LANE HIRE
