WHAT is your favorite exercise or fitness class?

So many….Reformer Pilates (David is awesome!), GRIT Cardio/Strength/Plyo, Circuit, BodyBalance, Group PT sessions with Blayne Underwood, Workshops (Powerlifting, Handstand, Metabolic Conditioning, Meditation) and working those free weights.

WHY do you train?

So that I can eat and look hot!  Actually, it’s as much for my mental wellbeing as physical health.  Great way to de-stress, exercise discipline and feel those happy endorphins all the while getting stronger and fitter. Also, its minutes away from work so I have absolutely no excuse not to fit in a session before work, during lunch or after work!

WHAT do you enjoy most about the City gym?

I recently received an offer from a competing gym that was cheaper and as attractive as that was, I have chosen to stay with SPHC City because:

  • The classes, especially Reformer Pilates and Yoga, are well worth your gym fees and not many gyms offer Reformer Pilates
  • Once you’ve had really great instructors who challenges you and continually changes up the workout, you don’t want to leave
  • The staff and Personal Trainers are all really friendly and helpful, but even better, the members I’ve met are super nice and that really makes the atmosphere
  • There is something for everyone and my typical week consists of HIIT (strength, cardio, plyo, & cycling), heavy/free weights training, boxing, BodyBalance (flowing Yoga), reformer pilates and private group personal training (for fat-burning).  So yeah, getting bored is hard
  • From work to SPHC City to getting changed and ready for my workout takes me 10 minutes - that’s pretty hard to beat!

    I enjoy the Tabata and Circuit Training classes as they are challenging.

    I enjoy the challenges it can present (mostly!), I like feeling strong and it makes me happier.
